Michael Spraggins, President

Michael Spraggins is CEO of Spraggins Inc., as well as President and Chairman of LifeNet International. Michael has held principal roles in a variety of entrepreneurial and investment ventures with an emphasis on distribution, service, and franchise organizations. Michael founded LifeNet with the mission of alleviating poverty and improving the health of the developing world. Michael received a BS/BA degree in accounting from Auburn University. Michael started his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Atlanta, Georgia where he earned his CPA.

Jonathan O’Connor, Vice President & Country Director

Jonathan O’Connor is a former investment analyst with CNL Real Estate Advisors. During his time with CNL Real Estate Advisors, Jonathan helped to originate private placement real estate funds for syndication to the retail equity markets. Prior to joining CNL, Jonathan was awarded one of twelve fellowships of the Trinity Forum Academy, a leadership academy based outside of Washington, DC. Jonathan graduated from Southeastern College with his bachelor’s degree in Finance.

A.J. Wilson, Program Officer

A.J. Wilson is a former environmental engineer with Parsons Brinckerhoff who joined the LifeNet team in August 2010. During his time with Parsons Brinckerhoff, A.J. helped perform complex modeling and design of water and wastewater infrastructure.  Prior to joining PB, AJ worked with Resource Development International, a development organization based out of Cambodia that is responsible for providing innovative technologies in the area of water development. A.J. graduated from Florida State University with his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering.

Carol Hanselman, Development Associate

Carol Hanselman is a registered nurse working at the University Medical Center at Princeton. Previously, Carol completed a consulting research for Visiting Nurse Service of New York, a finance internship with Hope International, taught English in Malaysia with AIESEC International, and studied abroad in Jerusalem, Israel. Carol is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, obtaining a Dual Degree in Nursing and Healthcare Management.

Vered Kater, Medical Associate

Vered Kater is a former faculty member at the Hadassah-Hebrew University School of Nursing in Jerusalem, Israel, where she taught since 1983. Vered has led and participated in nursing projects in over 10 countries, including projects with the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, Volunteer for Aid Without Borders, and the American Jewish World Service Volunteer Corps. Vered received nursing degrees from Tel-Aviv University, University College Hospital – London, Hebrew University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Hadassah University Hospital. In 2008, Vered received Hadassah-Hebrew University’s Volunteer Nurse of the
Year award.
