Article: “Helping Babies Breathe” Published by UN Foundation’s Global Moms Challenge

LifeNet Executive Director Stefanie Weiland published “Helping Babies Breathe in sub-Saharan Africa” on the UN Foundation’s Global Moms Challenge blog in December 2017. Weiland’s article addresses the crisis of preventable newborn deaths due to birth asphyxia and describes LifeNet’s efforts to reduce preventable deaths through high-impact, in-person trainings with health workers in sub-Saharan Africa.

Weiland’s article focuses on the impact of neonatal resuscitation training in facilities within the LifeNet network and connects that work with Global Goal 3 of ending all preventable newborn and child deaths by 2030.
