LIFENET LAUNCHES 10-10-10 VISION FOR 2023

Washington, DC: On September 25, 2019, LifeNet President Dave Evans announced the organization’s future vision and growth strategy for amplified impact in sub-Saharan Africa. Read more below to learn about LifeNet’s 10-10-10 Vision for 2023 in the words of Dave Evans.

Reflections from Dave Evans

LifeNet is dedicated to transforming healthcare in Africa. We believe that every person bears the image of God, is of infinite value and worth, and should have the opportunity to live a healthy and whole life. Sadly, every year more than 900,000 people in sub-Saharan Africa die due to accessing poor-quality health services. We will work until no child, woman, or man dies due to poor-quality care and I am excited to announce a bold vision and growth strategy toward that end.

10-10-10 VISION

LifeNet’s 10-10-10 Vision and Strategy has been launched to rapidly increase our impact in sub-Saharan Africa over the next five years. This 10-10-10 Vision includes expanding to 10 countries of operation and scaling to 10,000,000 improved patient visits annually by dramatically growing our resource base to $10 million in annual revenue.

LifeNet is pursuing this vision through a two-pronged strategy of 1) becoming the go-to organization for strengthening faith-based health facilities in Africa, and 2) designing and executing a resource development strategy that builds on current strengths and continues to diversify our funding base into new areas.

I’m encouraged by LifeNet’s consistent track record of approaching its work in sub-Saharan Africa with eyes and ears turned toward local expertise and insight. As we pursue this 10-10-10 Vision, we will continue to listen and learn from the wealth of knowledge and experience of our field leadership, local staff, and the local health partners that we are privileged to work with in Burundi, the DRC, Uganda, and Malawi.

“We will continue to listen and learn from the wealth of knowledge and experience of our field leadership, local staff, and local health partners.”

I’m looking forward to upcoming posts over the next few weeks, where LifeNet country directors in the field will share their thoughts and excitement about the 10-10-10 Vision for 2023. We’re in this together and each and every LifeNet staff member is playing a critical role in growing and strengthening our impact in sub-Saharan Africa. Together, we are working to see every patient provided with compassionate, respectful, and medically sound healthcare leading to thousands of lives saved.
