Careers: Senior Program Officer, FCI

LifeNet International, a rapidly growing Christian social impact organization dedicated to improving the healthcare of millions of people across the continent of Africa, is searching for the right candidate to serve as Senior Program Officer, FCI.

The Senior Program Officer, FCI is the operational backbone for LifeNet International’s anticipated subaward under the Faith and Communities Initiative, a five-year, annually renewed, multi-country project funded by the U.S. Department of State and led by World Vision. The position has key responsibility for subaward management and project administration, ensuring that subaward requirements, deliverables, decisions, documentation, financial information, and internal coordination move reliably among LifeNet’s GSO and country teams and between LifeNet and World Vision. The role converts complex award obligations into practical systems and supports colleagues in meeting them on time and with strong documentation.

This is a full-time position, with 100% of effort allocated to FCI subaward and project administration. The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, service-oriented, and comfortable working across program, finance, compliance, human resources, procurement, and monitoring functions. The incumbent will coordinate financial information and follow-up but will not replace qualified accounting staff, external accounting firms, or the future GSO Finance Director. Continued employment is subject to ongoing funding and satisfactory performance.

LifeNet aims to stop preventable deaths in sub-Saharan Africa, especially for mothers and children, by ensuring faith-based, community health facilities provide high quality healthcare. These facilities are the first, and often only, point of care that is accessible for the most vulnerable. Additionally, across the African continent, these facilities provide 40% of health services—as LifeNet improves care and stops preventable deaths here, health realities will drastically improve for millions.

LifeNet currently works with 500+ faith-based health facilities across 7 countries, including Burundi, Burkina Faso, DRC, Uganda, Malawi, Kenya, and Ghana. This network delivers essential services to the lowest quintile patients, maintaining international standards of care within safe and well-managed facilities thanks to ongoing training, tools and quality assurance from LifeNet.
