01 Jul LifeNet President David Evans Named to CCIH Board
On 01 July 2020, LifeNet President David Evans became a board member of Christian Connections for International Health (CCIH).
CCIH is an influential, global network of more than 150 Christian organizations working to improve healthcare around the world. It empowers and equips member organizations to pursue their shared vision, which is “a world where all have access to quality healthcare and prevention services.”
Evans’ appointment to the CCIH board is an exciting opportunity for service as LifeNet works toward the goal of transforming healthcare in Africa. The LifeNet team is eager to support this new role in the CCIH network, leading to improved healthcare and many lives saved.
Evans was appointed LifeNet’s president in January of 2019 and is leading the organization’s rapid 10-10-10 expansion plan. This 10-10-10 vision includes expansion into 10 countries of operation, improving 10,000,000 annual patient visits, at a cost of $10 million—just $1 per patient visit.
We believe that every person bears God’s image and should have the opportunity to lead a healthy and whole life.
“It is a privilege to serve on the board of CCIH, especially during this time of great upheaval in the world due to the coronavirus,” said Evans. “We believe that every person bears God’s image and should have the opportunity to lead a healthy and whole life. That shared desire to see every person have access to quality healthcare makes CCIH an important network for LifeNet and an influential voice bringing positive change to a world in need. I am very excited to serve alongside other leaders in the global fellowship of CCIH, bringing health and wholeness in the name of Christ.”
